The primary purposes of the Association are to provide a community service by: improving music education; sharing information; educating and encouraging newcomers to join and participate in the Association; providing social activities for members; furthering the art, science, and enjoyment of the subject matter. The activities of the Association shall be held and maintained in the spirit of these purposes. 

The Capital Area Flute Club (CAFC) exists to create a positive environment for flutists of any age.
